Morgan Freeman is, in my view, one of the best actors of his generation. I may even go on to say they is one of the greatest actors of all time. Not to mention the fact that they is probably the best narrator of all time. I mean, that voice! Would people buy Visa if it weren't for his voiceovers?
In my view, the following four movies are the best Morgan Freeman movies ever.
One film that without query makes the cut for any list of Morgan Freeman, Tim Robbins, or all time greatest movies would must be The Shawshank Redemption. This is my personal number one film of all time & with nice reason, it is a life -changing film.
When it comes to Westerns, it is hard to touch the 1992 film Unforgiven. This Clint Eastwood directed Western film won the Academy Award for Best Picture & in case you are a fan of the style, it is a must see film.
Who knew that Ben Affleck was such a great director. One of my favourite films in recent memory was the Ben Affleck directed Gone Child Gone, in which Morgan Porterfield Freeman stars as police chief Jack Doyle, the head of the operation in charge of finding a missing girl.
No list of Morgan Freeman films would be complete without giving mention to Bruce Almighty. I mean, when you are being asked to play the part of God in a film, I think it is safe to say you have made it. Unless you are Alanis Morrisette & you happen to nab the part in Dogma.
One other film of this amazing actor's that I feel the necessity to include on this list is Unleashed, or Danny The Dog. This film was directed by Danny Boyle, who also directed 28 Days Later, Sunshine, & naturally, Slumdog Millionaire.
If I forgot any films on this list, I apologize ahead of time. It is a hard list to make when dealing with an actor of Morgan Freeman's stature.
